Arriving β€” for visitors, couriers & contractors

πŸ—ΊοΈ Find the gate

The development is a row of new-build blocks on Granville Road in Childs Hill. The single gated entrance is on the west side of the road (the side closest to the A41), just north of where Nant Road turns off. Coming down from The Vale towards Nant Road, it's the first of the new-build blocks. Satnavs sometimes drop you on the wrong part of Granville Road, so head for this stretch.

πŸ™‹ Getting let in

  1. Call the flat on the intercom (see the steps above).
  2. When the resident answers, clearly state your name and why you're here.
  3. They'll unlock the gate/door, or decline.
⚠️ Entry is only granted once the resident confirms who you are β€” please be ready to identify yourself.

πŸ“¦ Deliveries

  1. Call the resident on the intercom and wait for them to let you in β€” there is no trades button or delivery PIN.
  2. If there's no answer, please don't leave parcels on the street or at the gate. Try again or arrange redelivery.

🚚 Vans & parking (contractors, removals, large items)

⚠️ Everything has to come through the pedestrian gate. Vehicles cannot get into the courtyard β€” residents can't open the main vehicle gate β€” so plan to carry items in from the street on foot.

There's no dedicated parking or loading bay. Stop on Granville Road, or pull up in front of the gate to unload β€” keep it brief and don't block the gate for others. For a longer job, park on-street.

⚠️ Parking on Granville Road is free, except 12pm–1pm when it's permit holders only β€” don't leave a non-permit vehicle on the road over that hour or you risk a ticket.

To get in, call the resident on the intercom (building number + flat/house number) β€” they'll need to be expecting you and will let you in. There's no temporary code for contractors.

🏠 Managing visitor access

When someone calls your flat, you'll get an alert on your wall unit, or a mobile notification if you've enabled the app.

  1. Answer on the wall panel or in the mobile app.
  2. Confirm the visitor's identity before granting access.
  3. Press unlock / open door if you're happy to let them in.
βœ… Good practice: don't grant access to anyone you can't verify; ask visitors to identify themselves clearly; avoid sharing access credentials (codes or fobs); and report anything suspicious.
